IPPB announced today announced that it has entered into a strategic alliance with one of the leading general insurance companies, Bajaj Allianz. Under this alliance, IPPB will distribute the non-life insurance products from Bajaj Allianz General Insurance across the country.
Under this alliance, IPPB aims to make affordable insurance products available through its network. Currently, IPPB has 650 branches and more than one lakh banking access points to citizens. The products to be distributed via this network include healthcare products, personal accident, and vehicle insurance to address the growing insurance protection needs in India.
For the promotion and distribution of Bajaj Allianz’s insurance products, around two lakh postal service providers equipped with biometric devices and micro-ATMs will play an important role.
